Personalized Evaluation
Your assessment is based on your individual history, needs, and circumstances rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist.
Overview
PTSD can develop after exposure to traumatic or deeply distressing events. Symptoms may involve re-experiencing, hypervigilance, avoidance, emotional changes, and physical stress responses.
Care at True Calm Psychiatry is paced thoughtfully. You are not required to share every detail of a traumatic experience in order to begin an evaluation.
Trauma-related symptoms can be emotional, physical, or behavioral. These concerns may indicate that further support could help.
Support may be important when trauma-related symptoms are persistent, distressing, or affecting safety, relationships, work, school, or daily functioning.
Evaluation can also help when symptoms began or worsened after a distressing experience and now interfere with rest, trust, or emotional regulation.
Evaluation includes review of current symptoms, trauma history when relevant and clinically appropriate, prior treatment, sleep patterns, anxiety, mood changes, and functional impact.
The conversation is handled sensitively, with attention to readiness and emotional safety rather than forcing unnecessary detail.
Psychiatric care may include education, supportive planning, coordination with therapy, and medication-management support when appropriate.
Treatment recommendations are individualized. Therapy is often an important part of trauma-related care and may work alongside psychiatric follow-up.
Medication may be considered when symptoms such as anxiety, mood disruption, or sleep difficulties warrant psychiatric treatment.
Recommendations are individualized and carefully monitored. Medication is not assumed to be required for every person with trauma-related symptoms.
Your assessment is based on your individual history, needs, and circumstances rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist.
